Genvoices Telethon: Pictures of Omotola Jalade Ekeinde, Omawunmi, Timi Dakolo, Omoni Oboli and Others

100,000 Voices Telethon held at Koga studios, Oregun, Ikeja, Lagos and was broadcast live on Channels TV, EbonyLife TV and Beat FM on 18, January, 2014 between 10am and 1pm. Celebrities arrived in their numbers to lend their voices to GenVoices; the project-driven platform harnessing the offline and online energy of young Nigerians for practical efforts towards nation building.

Tiwa Savage who has been on the spot light for weeks now following her marital issues with hubby, Tunji Balogun, was a guest on Saturday’s edition of “The Truth” with Olisa. During the interview session,  she addressed a lot of issues including her  controversial hit track ‘Wanted’ video, and how her success has redefined how women entertainers are perceived within a male-dominated industry.

“Every woman has that element and that period where they just feel s*xy inside.I think I was going through a phase. Yea I wasn’t scared to show it and wasn’t scared of any backlash that was going to come ,because I know that whatever happens,I can always back up any controversy with my talent . The song is my favourite in my album. It might not be most people’s cup of tea in Nigeria, but internationally, they listen to that song and they love it . The guy who produced it is Oak, who produced “Your love “for Nicki Minaj. So I love the song. I’m influenced by Beyonce and by Mariah Carey by Rihanna, Brandy. I’m influenced all the time. I wasn’t thinking whether Nigeria was ready or not, I was just doing something from an artistic point of view.No regrets at all” She explained.

Revealed! Real Reason Tiwa Savage Fired Her Husband As Her Manager

According to recent revelations, Tiwa
Savage and her hubby/ex manager
reportedly have issues but it has nothing
to do with cheating/physical abuse.
Teebillz has reportedly not been
managing Tiwa’s finances professionally
but has
been dipping his hands into her funds
and has not been accountable as regards
the actual performance fees he receives
on her behalf. As her husband /manager
and also boss of her record label 323
entertainment,Tiwa left all negotiations
to him. When he tells her he gets a
certain amount she trusts him and does
not bother to verify if it’s the exact
amount he collected or not.
A close source also sited an incident with
Hiptv boss, Ayo Animashaun who had a
deal with them to pay them N2m for the
live coverage of their Dubai wedding. He
paid Teebillz about N1.5m and Teebillz
didn’t tell Tiwa he had collected the
money. A while after the wedding, a
furious Tiwa called Ayo, raising dust and
raining insults on him for not paying
them. Only after Ayo proved to her that
he paid Teebillz did she believe him
because she swore that she trusted her
hubby and he couldn’t lie to her .
She was embarrassed when she found
out her husband had collected the money
without her knowledge. It took the
intervention of the current NFF
chairman, to settle the issue and appease
the aggrieved Hiptv Boss.
This led to Tiwa finding out that he had
been doing that regarding so many of
her other shows. She was hurt and
betrayed hence his replacement with
another manager, Meccamillions. Tiwa
trusted her hubby so much that she gave
him her credit card all the time.
There is no smoke without fire, there is
indeed trouble between Tiwa and her
hubby, but we hope it’s something the
couple can both work out quickly. We
believe Tiwa has taken the best step by
replacing her hubby with a new
manager. We also hope it does not have
an adverse effect on the trust the couple
once had for each other.

On Friday the 26th of September 2014, Tunji ‘Tee Billz’ Balogun, husband and manager of leading Nigerian artist celebrated his birthday. The 323 Entertainment boss received several birthday wishes on Instagram during the course of the day. Eyebrows were however raised as his wife Tiwa Savagedidn't acknowledge his birthday until over 15 hours after.

Gossip blogs had speculated that there was trouble in paradise and the delayed birthday acknowledgement seemed to advocate the case. When Tiwa Savage eventually did say happy birthday it was just with a photo on Instagram with three heart emojis; no actual words. Both parties have since then remained silent over the issue.

Both husband and wife are reportedly on different continents. Tiwa Savage was in the United Kingdom where she performed at the Africa Unplugged Concert  on Sunday September 14th at the O2 Brixton Academy in London, her husband and manager Tee Billz however was a no show.

The ‘Wanted’ singer stepped out in Lekki, Lagos yesterday September 28, 2014 for the MTN Project Fame finale. She will later join the rest of the MAVIN crew for the  MAVINS UK tour in Manchester on October 21. Don Jazzy and Reekado Banksare confirmed to be in the United Kingdom already.

Psquare have revealed that their earlier fight which threatened to split their partnership was due to the passion they had for the fans and for music.

A couple of months ago, media reports had revealed that the Peter and Paul Okoye were involved in a bitter quarrel which degenerated into physical combat. The quarrel was widely reported and analysed on social media, with many taking sides and blaming either brother and their wives.
But the brothers have revealed to Olisa Adibua, on talk show; The Truth, that their arguments and fight was due to a proposed shift in musical structure and operations between them.
“It wasn’t about money, it wasn’t about women, it’s just a normal thing. The way you argue or quarrel with your siblings, it’s normal.” Peter Okoye revealed.
He continued, “The only sad thing about this is that it got out. When it was happening, we were still performing in shows. So people took our private lives, to our business, which I don’t blame them. I don’t blame these fans because we owe them a lot of apology.
“But for the fact that they took it too far, I and Paul had a mere argument, and it was about music.”
Paul Okoye added: “When it comes to music, even if I want to bring something new, the new stuff I wat to bring, I still want to make it ‘us’. But he wanted to bring something different. For me, you cannot change how we do things. If you wanna bring something different, bring it gradually.
