Zoe Saldana confirmed on
Wednesday, Oct. 1, that she is
pregnant with twins, expecting her
first children with husband Marco
Perego.
The actress, 36, was speaking to E!
News at the opening of the
Hollywood Costume exhibit at Los
Angeles' Wilshire May Company
Building, when she was asked if she
would be donning her own costume
for Halloween this year.
"I might," she replied, reportedly
rubbing her belly as she spoke. "I
might need three costumes. I might
have to make some adjustments, but
it would be nice."
Saldana's pal and former Crossroads
costar Britney Spears previously let it
slip that the Avatar star had two
bundles of joy on the way.
When asked by Entertainment Tonight
if she and Saldana would ever film
another movie together, Spears, said,
"Who knows? That's a very good
idea. But she's pregnant with twins
right now. So I'm sure she's got a
huge future ahead of her."
Saldana and her artist love, 36,
secretly tied the knot in June 2013.
The happy couple already has big
plans for the twins, as the Guardians
of the Galaxy actress told Cosmo for
Latinas that she will teach her
children to be bilingual.
"Of course [our children] will speak
the languages that we speak," she
said. "My sisters and I grew up
learning French and speaking English
and Spanish, and because of that,
we're able to understand Italian and
Portuguese. But I'm going to have to
make a conscious effort to speak
Spanish to my children, because I
speak Spanglish."
